One line image
Most of the time artists prior to the 1900s were pretty tame and conventional. Maybe it's because work actually needed done at that time, and art couldn't feed a family. So generally artists were a functional breed. But every once in a while a piece of art comes out with astounding creativity and skill. This picture would be one of those pieces. The whole image is done with a single pen line.

Subtractive Art
After seeing this it makes me want to figure out other ways to subtract to create. The best I ever did was scratching my name into a desk. I don't think I'd have the patience to actually chisel away a wall. I also don't have the wall...or the machine. This kinda reminds me of that artist that cleaned subway tunnels to make his art. Scott Campbell
I wish I could do something like this, but I don't think I'd be willing to put out the cash to get started.

Anamorphic drawings
Before tech stepped in with magic eye and photo compilation pictures and all that stuff, this was where the
original eye trickery style was. Some real skill (and maybe drug tripping) was put into these type pics. When I went to Dali's gallery near Barcelona he had a few anamorpic pics too. Check the website for more.
